Stuttgart are a trademark of the region \u2013 and a typical backdrop of the series. The scene called for the convertible to be shown from the air: driving through the vines, set into the hillside, from a viewpoint you never get on the ground.<\/p>\n<p>The lanes between the vineyards are narrow, and slopes and rows of vines limit the flight paths. So we flew pre-defined lines, coordinated with the director and production, in short takes between the ground scenes \u2013 chase flights right above the car and calm wide shots across the valley.<\/p>\n<p>In the following years we flew regularly for SOKO Stuttgart, including at Max-Eyth-See, Killesberg and the Jahnstadion in Ludwigsburg.<\/p>\n<h2>Equipment and permits<\/h2>\n<p>Panasonic GH4 in 4K on a heavy-lift DJI Spreading Wings multicopter with gimbal \u2013 in 2014 the standard setup for cinematic aerials, long before compact cinema drones like the Inspire became common.<\/p>\n<p>Flight operations with a take-off permit and the landowners&#8217; consent. Today we fly in Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg under a general permit from the Stuttgart regional authority for geographic UAS zones.<\/p>\n<h2>FAQ<\/h2>\n<h3>Does VR-Copter provide drone footage for TV series and feature films?<\/h3>\n<p>Yes. We fly for series, feature films and commercials, coordinate with the director, camera and production team, and take care of permits and insurance.<\/p>\n<h3>Can you film with a drone in the vineyards near Stuttgart?<\/h3>\n<p>With the landowners&#8217; consent and in line with geographic UAS zones such as nature reserves and residential areas.
