Drone Andalusia: Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV

For the digital world premiere of the Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV, VR-Copter flew aerials in Andalusia in the Málaga region – coastal light, mountain landscape and the first all-electric luxury SUV from Mercedes-EQ. Shot in March 2022 with Inspire 2 and Zenmuse X7 in 6K plus the Mavic 3 Cine.

Brief and execution

A large electric SUV needs images that show calm and power at the same time. The drone follows the EQS SUV through the landscape of southern Spain and reveals lines and proportions you cannot see from the ground.

Two drones shared the work: the Inspire 2 with X7 for the big, slow camera moves in 6K, the Mavic 3 Cine for quick changes of position and extra angles on the same shoot day.

FAQ

Can you film cars with a drone in Spain?

Yes, under EU rules and the requirements of the Spanish aviation authority AESA. In cities and around airports such as Málaga, extra conditions and notice periods apply. VR-Copter clarifies this before the shoot.

Why two drones on one shoot day?

Because light and driving time are limited. The large camera drone delivers the main shots, the smaller one flies variations and details in parallel. That means more usable footage per run.

What does a drone shoot for a vehicle abroad cost?

A shoot day with a drone crew starts at €1,300 net, with Inspire 3 and cinema setup from €2,400 net, and as a combined drone, FPV and car-to-car package from €3,900 net – each including pilot, equipment, insurance and permit coordination.
