FPV Drone at the Porsche Museum: the Indoor Flight “30,000 Horsepower”
For Porsche, VR-Copter flew an FPV drone through the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen – past race cars and legends, seemingly in a single take. The video “30,000 Horsepower” was picked up internationally, including by CarBuzz, DriveTribe and UAS Vision.

Brief and execution
The idea: a ride through the whole museum from a viewpoint no visitor ever gets – just above the cars, through passages and over ramps, as if the camera itself were driving. Only a small, precisely flown FPV drone can do that.
What looks like a one-shot is built from several takes. Each section was planned and flown separately, with the transitions joined in the edit. Among priceless exhibits, preparation is everything: flight paths, distances and safety zones were agreed with the museum in advance. A DJI Mavic 2 covered the exterior. In 2026 we were back at the Porsche Museum, this time with the DJI Avata 2.
Equipment and permits
FPV drone with a “naked” GoPro – an action camera stripped of its housing to save weight – plus a DJI Mavic 2 for the exterior.
Indoor flights are not subject to airspace rules, but they require the venue’s permission, insurance and a clear safety concept. We treat that as standard on every indoor shoot.
FAQ
Can you fly a drone inside a museum?
Yes, with the venue’s consent, insurance and a safety concept. Airspace rules don’t apply indoors, but full responsibility lies with the pilot.
Is an FPV flight through a building really a one-shot?
Sometimes, often not. On long routes we join several takes seamlessly – safer for exhibits and people, and more control in the edit.
How much does an indoor FPV shoot cost?
A shoot day with a drone crew starts at €1,300 net, with Inspire 3 and cinema setup from €2,900 net, and as a combined drone, FPV and car-to-car package from €3,900 net – each including pilot, equipment, insurance and permit coordination.
